Born and raised in Vancouver. Started at eighteen with no formal art background, came up through a two-year apprenticeship, and taught myself most of the rest.
Traditional and new-school Japanese, Asian-inspired work, and anime — Naruto, Pokémon, Dragon Ball, Studio Ghibli. Full sleeves and backpieces down to small standalone pieces.
Bold linework with dynamic composition, in black and grey or colour. Every project gets the same intention, whatever its size.

Fill in the booking form — the idea, where it goes, roughly how big, and any references. I read everything and reply by email to set up a consultation.

Consultation
We go through your references, look at the actual area and measure it, settle colour or black and grey, and I tell you the sessions and cost. A $300 deposit within 24 hours holds your date.

The session
You see the drawing on the day and we go through it together before anything starts. Then we tattoo. Keep the whole day free — I don't rush the end of a piece.

How much will my tattoo cost?
My rate is $160 an hour, and I only charge for machine run time — the clock runs while I'm actually tattooing, not from the moment you walk in. Setting up, placing the stencil, breaks and talking things through aren't billed. Beyond the hourly rate, the total depends on the design, size, placement and how intricate it is, so it differs from piece to piece. You'll get an estimate at your consultation. Your final total may change at my discretion if the idea, design, size, placement or overall scope of the work is revised.
What deposit do you require?
I require a $300 minimum deposit to reserve your appointment date or dates, and it goes towards the cost of your final appointment. For full sleeves and backpieces the deposit is $500. Deposits are final, non-refundable, and due within 24 hours of your consultation. Once I have received your deposit you will get a confirmation of your appointment by email.
When will I see my design?
On the day of your appointment. I don't send designs out beforehand, and I don't make exceptions to this. Drawings that go out early get taken to other shops and tattooed by someone else, and they get passed around and picked apart by people who were never part of the conversation. Neither is fair on the work, and neither ends well for you. What you get instead is a consultation that leaves nothing unsettled — see below.
What happens at the consultation?
Everything gets decided before you commit anything. We go through your idea and references; we look at the actual area and measure it rather than guessing from a photo; we settle colour or black and grey, because it changes how the piece is drawn; and I tell you roughly how many sessions it will take and what it will cost. Anything medical, or existing work and scarring in that area, gets raised here too — it can change what's possible. By the time you come in for your appointment, you already know what you're getting, where, how big, and what it costs.
Can I reschedule?
You get one reschedule with 72 hours notice. Any change to your appointment after that forfeits your original deposit, and a new deposit is required to reserve another appointment. If I need to change your appointment time or date, I will let you know beforehand.
Do you offer touch-ups?
Yes — free touch-ups up to 6 months after your last appointment date.
