A rokurokubi (ろくろ首) is a Japanese yokai whose neck stretches unnaturally long, usually at night.
Symbolically, it can represent hidden identity, duality, secrecy, transformation, and the unsettling side of ordinary life. In tattoo art, it often carries themes of inner darkness, deception, supernatural mystery, or a concealed self revealing itself.
